Recipes

Our goal is to show you how to prepare Tastiechicken dishes with minimum ingredients and still arrive at the same result. Therefore, if you leave out all the optional ingredients, your chicken will still taste better than take-out; but it will taste even better if you use all the ingredients on the list.

For the fried chicken recipes on this page, if you want your end product to be crispier, dip each piece of chicken in  egg wash (beaten egg diluted with water) before dredging in the Coating Mix and frying.

Tastiechicken Wings (Hot or Mild)

  • 20 chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger (optional)
  • 1 or 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 1 Teaspoons fish sauce (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoon Soya Sauce (optional)
  • 1 Teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 3 Teaspoons Tastiechicken Seasoning Mix (or to taste)
  • About 4 to 5 Tablespoons Tastiechicken Coating Mix
  • Vegetable or Canola oil for deep frying

1. Rinse chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towel.

2. Arrange chicken in a bowl and add minced ginger, garlic, fish sauce, soya sauce and worcestershire sauce. Mix well by hand or with a wooden spoon or spatula

3. Add Tastiechicken Seasoning Mix to bowl and mix until chicken is evenly coated with the seasoning mix.

4. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or preferably overnight.

5. After chicken is well marinated, add lemon juice to chicken and mix well.

6. Pour Tastiechicken Coating Mix into a separate bowl. Coat chicken one piece at a time with mix. Shake off excess mix.

7. Leave to rest for 5 minutes.

8. Coat chicken a second time with Tastiechicken Coating Mix. Shake off excess mix.

9. In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat oil on medium heat and deep fry chicken until golden brown and no longer pink inside. Arrange on paper towel to drain excess oil.

Tip: If you use a shallow frying pan and didn’t use enough oil for frying, your end product may be dark on the outside and still pink in the inside. If this is the case, please do not hold us responsible 🙂

However there is a remedy. Simply arrange chicken in a single layer on an oven tray lined with foil paper. Bake in the oven at 365ºF for about 7 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside.

Hot Version: Add one teaspoon of hot pepper sauce or half (or less) minced scotch bonnet or habenero pepper,  depending on how much heat you can handle. Jalapeno pepper will also work just fine.  Add the pepper to the ingredients listed under item #2 and mix well to ensure chicken is well coated.
